First mod is either Sahara rims or the Altitude rims if I can find them cheap. Sahara rims are everywhere for $300 or less.

So my question to the members is ... do you like the chrome grill. I am tossed whether to find the matte black Altitude grill which I think would look sweet.

Tell me your opinion please and thank you.
Very nice! Not a big fan of the chrome grill.

IMO, I'd do a body-colored grill, then chrome wheels and keep the chrome side steps. I think some chrome wheels with 35s and a lift would look really sweet on a Dark Cherry!

BoarderMX Not 100% black and red but pretty close

JoeLee Man, these deep cherry red jks are SHARP! A few of my 1st round of mods are on the way.

CampThree1982 I think a little chrome on the old school CJ's is acceptable. Chrome looks best on motorcycles and muscle cars.

bostongmw I am native to bean town but live in WA state now. I am tossed whether to swap it for body colored because the chrome is def unique. Letting my three boys and wife vote on it. If we swap out then I would happily sell and ship it to someone on this forum.

Not looking to make money, just want to break even if we change over.

2five22 Welcome to the family. Some Jeep color look better without chrome, but it's up to the owner.

I have to confess that my 76 CJ had chrome tube bumper, chrome accents, and plenty of chrome KC daylighters back in the day.

dazone looks good bostongmw!

KittyPrawn I like Chrome... but it is usually a pain and expensive to maintain. I'm actually more bothered by a color matching top and unpainted fenders. I think the top needs to be black.

Great looking Jeep! I like how you set it up. I also prefer black over chrome.
11-13-2012 09:38 AM
ValpoJK Definitely replace the chrome on the sides. Mine came with that as well. After my first trip to badlands they don't look so great lol.
