|Catfish1||for me its not all about climbing stuff, I like going to remote interesting places and some challenge along the way. This trail is all that and close, unless of course you live in cg or sv...........rumor is we missed some interesting "options" that may have involved more climbs...anyway this will be a favorite of mine|

|clull05rubi||Yah agree. I don't have my jeep 2 go over bumps. That's wat cars r 4. I like 2 climb stuff and soccer ball sized rocks littered all over the trail isn't climbing its just going over bumps. by the end of the day your ass and back r guna b sore too. Its worth going once but I'll prob never take that trail again myself.|

|12-03-2013 05:53 PM|
|clull05rubi||Its not that bad. A 4.0 rating is definetly overkill unless its a 1-10 scale. Its just 1 hell of a bumpy ride.|

Experience AZ Sutherland Trail
Anyone want to do this trail on Saturday the 7th of Dec? I have never done it, I dont know how truly difficult it is. It starts over by Oracle and goes towards Mt. Lemmon. It does start and end at the same location. If anyone would like to go please let me know so I can set it all up on here. I would like to start at 0900. No idea how long it would take to complete.

Day late and a dollar short.
Excellent suggestion about the wrenching party.

We had a good time on Fort Huachuca this weekend. We did have one rollever. 1 full rotation and a half. He ended up on his roof. Luckily no one was hurt. Arctic Cat 4 seater that was 3 days old. Had some damage to it but we "fixed" it and got him going again.

You should have come out with us on Saturday then. Chimney rock is the easiest trail in Tucson that a stock jeep can run.
I'll post up next time we have a wrenching party and you can stop in and say hi to people and see what we run on our jeeps to give you a direction that you might want to go in.
Nothing funner than looking at an obstacle from the other side after you made it over it.

Appreciate the encouragement, Johnny. Looking forward to joining a few runs.
I'll post pics maybe tonight. It's about as stock as stock can be.

Thanks for the links.
I agree with what you've written here. I've considered myself a fair off roader, but recently I saw a vid of a jeep climbing a rock like it was straight road and realized I got bit by the rock crawley bug thingie. Frankly, some of the trails you guys run aren't trails at all, and the thought of my ignorance wrecking my jeep scares the snot out of me.
I plan to stay stock while I make friends with this new addiction. So, OEM tires until they're bald (to serve as a reminder to not get in too deep). No lifts, etc., until I know what to buy, why to buy, and where/how to use it.
In the meantime, I'll meet up with this crew and get some firsthand knowledge and adventure.
