Well, your engine isn't running all that efficiently (rpms are below the power band) and odds are you could boost its mpg a tad by regearing it to the correct ratio. But how long would it take to recoupe the approx. $1200 cost to regear by a couple mpg improvement?
That said, I would regear anyway. With your 3-speed automatic and 33" tires, 4.10 would be a very good all-around ratio.

i don't really think much can be done for the poor mpg's. 05GT-O.C.D said it best:

|4Jeepn||What are your stock gears? As for MPG figures I had 35's and 4.56's, 5spd and got about 12-14 mpg.|

Question about regearing
i have a 2002 sahara with stock gears and auto trans. Im am currently running 33's on a 4" lift and was wondering if i should regear it. I dont care about getting more power, i just want more mpg. Would regearing to 4.56's benefit my mileage?
