I would definitely check the frame for rust. Also check the mods he did to it to see If their quality or if their junk

DeepSouthJeeper Probably a bigger deal to you than the suspension is that YJs will probably cost a good bit less due to their age, but that also means more potential for things to need to be replaced.

I'd say cheaper not easier. It's easier to lift them on a budget due to the less complicated suspension. Although they expense you save lifting a YJ might not matter when you consider that all YJs used the D35. If you get the TJ, make sure to get the D44 rear axle.

I've had both and to be honest they're both easy to work on but if I were to chose the yj is a tad easier I think just because it feels roomier to me for some reason lol but I love both of them

Kylek42 Sup guys I'm going into my junior year of high school In Long Island, New York... I've had my jeep for about a month in a half now... Loving it, have a lot of work to do though and being that I've never worked on anything in the past and that I don't have much help this should be pretty interesting.

It was reasonable active right up until recently, most are probably just tied up with school at the moment.

That's the beauty of it. Somebody posted their math issues, and you'd get an answer. Not from me, but another regular that just went through it.
