|rallykid||Well the plot apparently thickens. I called my Chrysler/Jeep dealer and was informed that the paint code listed on my door was only used on the Sprinter van. According to them if I have a black Wrangler it should be PXR paint code.|

|booger||i'd stick with the code on your door. there's no telling when in 06 they changed to the new code.|

Odd LJ paint code question
I picked up my '06 black Unlimited last week and wanted to pick up some paint to fix some spots on the grill. The previous owner has a chrome grill cover on it (where is the vomiting smiley when you need it) and it was removed as soon as I got it home. When I took it off I found some little rust spots that need to be fixed so I am shopping for paint.
Here is where it gets weird. The paint code on the door is PXB and it was manufactured in February of 2006. PXB is a 2005 Wrangler paint code. The paint code for 2006 is PXR. Is this the same color with a different code or a slightly different color?
Also the fender flares are factory and are painted body color. I know on the regular wheelbase TJ this was only done on the Sahara. I am not that familiar with the small details of the unlimited so I didn't know if this was a common option. I know all of the Unlimiteds I have checked out in the past have had the standard gray flares like most Wranglers. Is this something that they started doing in '06?
Thanks in advance for any info and sorry about the long and rambling post.
