BlueRidgeYJ You cannot have 2 (or more) antennas that transmit simultaniously that close. If one recieves, or they are used at seperate times, you can mount them that close. Usually best to mount everything by itself, though.

So
1 AM/FM or scanner & 1 transciever is OK
2 different transcievers is OK (CB & HAM), but may not be ideal (or be used at the same time, either/or kind of deal)
and a scanner & AM would be fine
But
2 cophased antennas of nearly any band would not be OK

Bubbas94yj I bought a dual antenna kit couple wks ago and I wanta mount it on Jeep. I had heard all that about the antennas couldn't be to close, but thought I could hook up 1 for radio. Do I got that all wrong?

Bubbas94yj I'm pretty new to CBs, but don't they make kits to run am /fm through CB antenna?

30-284 Ya. But you said 2 cb antennas, what you need is a cb Antenna and an am-fm antenna.

Bubbas94yj Yeah I know, id seen a dual setup, with one antenna for CB and one for radio.

mckey73 In order to get dual antennas to work properly with a CB they "should" be 8 feet apart, hard to do on a four wheeler. Just use one, it's cheaper and way easier to get it to work properly.

30-284 No farther than you will be able to get the antennas apart you are going to have a hell of a time matching them. Don't forget the co-phasing harness.

lolpetewtf He does not make one for the YJ specifically (JK &TJ looks like), but I think he can make one that is opposite of the normal mount. Might want to email him. I have a mount for my JK I love.

looking for dual cb antenna mount

I'm looking for a way to mount two CB antennas on back of my yj. Anyone seen any kits made for this?
