1979 CJ ... need help with price

have a 1979 Jeep CJ5 for sale. It is in great condition and my wife and I hate to have to sell it but we are in need of the cash more than the Jeep. It is a fun ride in the summer, Iíve never had it off road in the three years Iíve owned it and it has been garage kept and rarely driven in the winter. This Jeep is in great shape and runs like new, the engine is a 256 cubic inch straight 6 cylinder the odometer reads just over 69,000. The transmission is a 3 speed manual. The body is the original tub with no rust on it and it has a Best Top soft top with soft doors. The tire size is 32" X 11.5".It has a 2" body lift on it so the Jeep looks right for the size of tires I have on it. Iíve replaced the battery and the wiper motor and replaced an exhaust gasket between the manifold and front pipe. I also put a starter, driveshaft and new universal joints on it in the last year. This is a really nice Jeep, similar ones go for over $10,000 but make me an offer I need to sell this gem.

the jeep looks good for the year, i have seen it in person. probably a 3.5 out of 5, maybe a low 4. i guess he only get about 8 mpg, which i assume is the 3 speed.

guy doesn't really know what to ask for it - and i don't know much about CJs. we are in chicago area and that tends to up the price on vehicles. thoughts?
