citricacid Yep I got it out. Took a couple days, but by the time I could get back to Martinsville with help it was Saturday... so we'd just gotten an additional 6 inches on top of what they had.

Long story short, I got a hi-lift jack and threw some old bricks under the wheels then used the hi-lift as a come along with A LOT of rope. This has taught me a valuable lesson, never leave home without a hi-lift. You may think I'm kidding when I say this but I'm actually having a storage bag made and I'm going to throw it under the back seats and put a small lock on it.

The jeep actually went through the snow like it was nothing. This is the first time I've really got to test my new XTerrains, I'm pretty impressed.

jp2611 I just saw this and IMO it might be iffy for it to be out, they got like 3x snow we got...surely someone from Indy can help them out it almost 2.5 hours from my house just to get close......maybe a New years eve day thing to do if it is still in there.

Rescue Operation

Hello everyone,

So on Christmas we decided to go out and get a little dirty. We were over at my aunt's house in Martinsville. There is a short trail near her house so me in my JKU and my dad in his Tacoma take some people on a few rides on the trail and then back. The last leg of the trail the Tacoma couldn't do because it's wheel base was too long, so I went on about another 125 feet to a creek to turn around. I did this all 4 times, well coming back from the creek the trail had gotten pretty worn and I got stuck.

We worked all night to get the vehicle unstuck, it being Christmas and not having another vehicle that could get to me all we could do is dig. Unfortunately the vehicle sank and was now sitting on the rear axle. The blizzard was rolling in and it was almost 1am. We finally called it quits and left my jeep out there.

Before I get the lectures, I know how unwise it was to go somewhere the Tacoma couldn't, but in my mind I had done it 3 times before just that day. (I've done this trail a couple times in the past with my Cherokee) In retrospect, I should have seen this coming, it was a rookie mistake.

I'm here to see if I can gather any fellow jeepers to help me rescue my JK. I believe all I need is a good tug from behind to pull me out of the mud.
