All Terrain JK If it has been repaired near the rear tire, check where tcase skid bolts to the fame. Another favorite spot for rust though is behind the rear tire near bumper. I used safety cap repair pieces on my sons TJ and I believe that if done properly, frame is as strong or stronger than stock. Some pictures would help. I will be doing a build thread on that frame restoration in the near future. Sorry for long reply

If it was repaired with the safe t cap frame repair pieces then it should be fine.

Need advice on a TJ frame.

I'm currently looking at a 1998 2.5L 5 speed, the frame was welded at the shop with a frame kit and its rusty under it, (not to bad.) But its bad enough where the frame needed to be done . You know, where the rear tires are. I'm just wondering if that will affect its performance if i ever decide to put money into it.
