outofmoney Check the chain inside. They stretch and need to be replaced around 100,000 miles.

Noisy t-case

Last week we had our first snow covered roads in a number of years. So quite naturally I lifted my jeep into 4H. At about 35 MPH I noticed a very low hum coming from my 241 t-case. As speed increased the low hum raised in pitch. Still a low hum, but just not quite as low at 45mph. I changed fluid at around 50k miles, so at 91k miles I changed it out again. No help. Still the hum. I've never been in deep enough water to do any damage, so I am a bit puzzled. I had an old F150 that had the same type noise that developed at around 75k, and was still going strong at 175k miles when I sold it. Is this something to be concerned about? Thanks for all your advise and input.
