|8figgas||Check the classifieds in the forum, you can get ur hands on new takeoffs or pullouts for the cheap. Will cost a lot less than what dealers charge for the upgrade.|

Main reason for not going with the sport is leather seats. Also if I recall the 430N stereo wasn't on the sport but I may be wrong on that.

|8figgas||The only real reason for 3.21s are fuel mileage are also a slower paced driver. 3.73s are more suitable for the typical driver, being yes, a tad bit perkier. With 4.10s being the best oem ratio. Question, why the Sahara over the sport? As far as resale, it will only make a difference if ur privately selling to a jeep guy, who's looking at putting bigger tires on it and the 3.21s will be a deal breaker.|

Gear ratio on Sahara
I know the short answer is "Get the 3.73" but let me ask anyway...
I'm getting a Jeep for my daughter to head off to college. Yeah I know.
The dealer was steering us toward the 4 door unlimited. We test drove a Sahara unlimited and a Sport 2 door. The Sport had noticeably better acceleration and perkier response. But I did not check the gear ratios. Do you think this was related to the weight difference, the gear ratio, or ?
We're going to stick with the Sahara 2 door, auto trans. My daughter will drive this around town. Unless, god forbid, some boyfriend mucks with it, she will use stock tires forever. Her only offroad will be when she runs over the curb by accident. I guess I'd say fuel efficiency is an issue, but thats kind of stupid because this is the wrong car for that anyway.
Is 3.73 still the best bet to get a perky ride? Better resale? Or is this the reason 3.21 exists?
