MCE Fenders in Mass?

Anyone run these MCE fenders here in Mass?

| Modern Classic Enterprises

Our lovely state can be somewhat finicky with how much tire sticks out. I passed my inspection with 2" of tire uncovered, but these flares make it look worse. I don't really want to press my luck... I originally was going to install a set of bushwhacker flat fenders, but I found a decent sized rust spot on the OE fender when I went to install and the MCE fenders would allow me to cut out the rust saving me headaches down the road.

Thoughts?

Side note- anyone in the market for an open box set of the Bushwhacker flat fenders? Literally just opened the box and peaked in...
