twixter96 In the 87 yj 4.2l are there supposed to be reverse lights? I find it odd no lights come on the back up...

JD95YJ Possibly. You can check voltage at the switch when pressing the brake pedal and also check it back at the wires also while someone is pressing the brakes) Check all fuses under dash and hood if no power to switch or back at the wires.

88beast That's exactly what it was bud thanks but now everything works but the brakes I'm thinking brake light switch under pedal?

JD95YJ Sounds like you don't have a ground. The factory lights were grounded through the mounting bolts.

88 yj tail lights

88 yj trying to replace tail lights and having trouble with wiring it seemed straight forward but when i hook up harness no lights come one but when i test the jeep harness it has power. Any help would be great thanks
