door lock cylinders

Ok so I recently bought some half doors for the jeep, when I removed the cylinders out of my full doors and went to put them in the half doors the little tabs on the back of the cylinders seem to be to long to work on the half doors, has anyone had this problem, and if so were did u get the shorter tabs from thanks
