clull05rubi Of course. My dad has sahara and its very capable too. After all it is a jeep

rudeboi99 Good stuff, really appreciate the feedback.

As for the RUBI comment, I am not sure I'll be doing music crawling, let alone extreme trailing. I suppose a Sahara would my best option - it also allows me to go on some trails later on if I change my mind (right?)

2five22 I own the 4 door and it isn't a problem to drive around the Valley. Phoenix was build around the automobile, so streets are wide and mostly based on the grid system. Boston it is not. I also drive a Ford F350 4wd supercab with a long bed. That vehicle can be a pain.

If you have a spouse or kids, get the 4 door. If you don't have them or plan to get them, go with the 2 door. The 2 door is easier to maneuver on tight trails, a joy to parallel park, and is the original Jeep experience.

Matt13 Oh and unless you're going to really build it yourself (assuming you plan on wheeling regularly).......RUBICON is the only way to go! IMHO of course

Matt13 I've had both, and it really comes down to how much room you need/want and what type of offroad characteristics are important to you. The 2 dr is more maneuverable in tight spots, but the 4 dr certainly isn't difficult, just not as easy. Offroad, the 4 dr is more stable going on an incline due to the wheelbase, but ground clearance is much more of an issue (I'm still getting used to mine after 4 mos of wheelin). and you will have to watch your takes some getting used to. Choose carefully, but I'm sure you'll love either one.

clull05rubi Id say whatever you plan on doing with it if youre going 2 do moderate trails id suggest the 2 door myself better breakover angle so less chance of getting hung up

rudeboi99 Thanks for the replies...
Obviously having a 4dr can bring more room, but it's not mandatory for myself. I am just stuck between two choices (a 2dr & 4dr) so this question is what will bring me to my choice.

clull05rubi My dad did the same thing in his and i would too but i have a wife and little one that like 2 ride too

Focushere I like the 4 door, but bought the 2 door and took the back seat out. Not the Chauffeur anymore......

clull05rubi Not really jeeps turn well and its not like its a fullsize truck with an extended cab and 8 ft bed. A 4 door is still pretty maneuverable and they seem to be all the craze right now so it must not present a huge problem. I myself would go with a 4 door but i spend 99% of my time in my jeep offroad and the 4door just seems to long and low in stock form for serious wheeling. Just depends what your primary use is going to be really

Wrangler Question (AZ-related)

Hi All,

I would post this in the general section, but need more help from the locals.

So, I am: to these forums

... new to Jeep Wranglers to Arizona

I am currently debating on whether to get a Wrangler 2dr or Unlimited 4dr. My issue is whether having a longer truck is more challenging around the valley. Funny as this question might sound living in a Florida city where all roads and parking are small made life difficult. Have yet still to figure out how it is around Phoenix and the valley.

I live in the Phoenix valley btw, and would love some opinions (aside from the laughing)
