How does this top perform in the winter months? My hardtop broke and thought about replacing it with this top for all year round. Any thoughts?

|Bonecollector||No loss of space unless you are used to packing the back so full you actually fill it up to the back window and all the way to the roof. Not a good idea with any soft top because if things were to shift and rest up against the plastic windows it can make some very unsightly dents in the window that can take a long time to go away, if they ever do.|

|Dr. Jeep||Does anyone know of anyone looking to sell a Trektop NX currently?|

I have to say I will surely be purchasing all of my future Jeep items from Quadratec as they simply have the best customer service of any I have used thus far.
I received my NX yesterday and had it almost all together when I realized the door surround had a large crack in it when I removed it from the box. I called QT and their customer service was incredible. I explained my problem and the service rep put me on hold to check their stock for a drivers side door surround.
At this point I was simply checking to see if it was available and had not spoken of warranty or price. While waiting my damn cell went dead and I had to call back. To my suprise another rep answered and pulled up my account and said no worries.....the other rep had already arranged for a replacement to be sent free of charge. I did not even get a chance to ask for a replacement and it was already taken care of.
Amazing service and a worry free purchasing experience will keep me going back to QT for the life of my Jeep. As far as the top itself it looks to be great quality however I will not be able to fully install it until I get the drivers side door surround. I do have it stretched out on top of my Jeep in a very warm garage so install should be easy when I get my parts together.

Maybe I spoke too soon as I just received an e-mail from Qtec saying my top was on back order. It did not have any projected date of when they expect to have it in stock so I am not sure what to do.
I really wanted my top before my vacation starts so I may cancel and just try amazon.

|lonewolf05||Yea I ended up ordering from quadratec and the price matched the 579 for my 4 door 2008.|

I just ordered the Trektop NX for a 2013 2dr and was able to get it for 588 shipped from Quadratec. If I remember correct they removed the shipping costs of something like 64 dollars and it was arranged by sending a PM to Quadratec member on this forum. It took me only a few minutes to place the order with no hassle and excellent customer service before and after my order.
From what I have read Quadratec has excellent service and good costs for us members here. I may could have found it a few dollars cheaper however the hassle free order and good reputation made it an easy choice for me. Good luck if you have not found one yet and I am excited about this new addition to my Jeep.....just have to make a hoist for my hard top now.

|tkdutcher||I am ready to order one of these for my 2012 JK Unlimited. Anyone know who has the best deal out there now for one? How difficult are these to take off for a day or so if I wanted to run my Jeep without the top? Are tools required to take it off? I will be running it as a bikini top most days but would like the option of taking it off.|

Got mine last year for my 2 door for $499 shipped but that was last year but would contact forum vendors for discounts and most will price match.
As far as looks without the windows in, I think the Safari top looks great by itself. On the 2 door, I would suggest replacing the rear bar if driving every day with the Safari top only, I used a 4' galvanized pipe from the plumbing department. Can drive at highway speeds with no flapping at all now, even with the Sunrider open.

We'll absolutely honor/price-match a reputable competitor's pricing. Just as long as it isn't ebay or something shady. Thanks for the support. This is why we love WF!
