emills Just updating the roll-call thread as well (already posted in the main thread). Looks like I am going to have to cancel. My grandmother passed away yesterday. As far as I know right now - the service is on Friday. So I will most likely either be in Florida or flying home on Saturday. If that changes - I will let you know. But for now - scratch me off of the list.

Jerry Bransford I'll probably bring some french bread and a desert then... cheesecake? Boston Cream Pie? Something light after that light sphagetti dinner.
03-19-2009 09:28 PM
Unlimited Jerry,

I've got six pounds of pasta, a #10 can of sauce, and 6 pounds of italian sausage. There is a list in the first post as to what people are bringing. I'm sure we can use more bread or green salad or desert or ???? what ever you want to contribute.
03-19-2009 07:24 PM
Jerry Bransford What else, food-wise, is needed for the Saturday night dinner? As in are we missing anything? Spaghetti sounds awesome to me, more pasta or hamburger? French bread?
03-14-2009 05:35 PM
4point Cool jbod33 I'll add you to the list.
03-14-2009 04:58 PM
jbod33 I'll be staying both nights
03-13-2009 09:43 AM
tiny terror There's room, we'll make it. You won't have any problems getting it back home, we have tools Kidding, kidding. It's not a crazy area, some rocks, some sand, and a lot of beautiful scenery.

Let Unlimited know what nights you'll be camping so we can keep an accurate head count.
03-13-2009 06:10 AM
jbod33 If there's still space I'll be there. I'll be camping out of my jeep. Let me know what I should bring for food and what not. I got an '04 w/ 2.5" lift. It's my daily driver, do you think I'll have any problems getting it back home? This'll be the first tme I take it off road.

4point Updated Head Count and Grub List. If any info is wrong PM Unlimited, Tiny, Cain or me.

Thanks

Unlimited What we usually do is cook up the pasta, heat the sauce, and then fry up the sausage, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and garlic so you can put whatever you want on your pasta. I have a jumbo 3 burner stove with a big gridle on it for frying the stuff up.

As to plates and silverware, everyone should bring their own. If someone forgets, the motorhome is very well stocked with that stuff.

4point Do we need onions and peppers? If so dose anyone have something specific in mind?

Hell, something like this aught to work just fine!

If for nothing else, it would be cool to keep the ice and beer in!

4point This is working out great. Just make sure you are able to keep anything with eggs or mayo in it chilled. Otherwise we will all be marking the trail.

I'll claim the salad. Does anyone have preferences with dressing? If not, I'll probably just make it a Caesar. Let me know what you all want and I'll accommodate.

Seven or eight hundred pounds should do just fine! But what are you all going to eat?

4point Hey everyone. Please check post #1 for Saturday night food details.
03-08-2009 01:13 PM
cavediverjc No problem here. I don't drink then drive. Besides, it's alcohol abuse to spill it all over while trying to wheel. Better to save it for the campfire.
03-08-2009 11:38 AM
stevens243 There is a time and place for everything. Drinking while driving (or before driving) is just plain stupid and I keep a wide berth from people that do it so when the natural selection process begins, I don't get swept away with the rest of the retards.

Tippin' a few around a camp fire afterwards is just plain American fun and I do plan on participating in that.

Speaking of that, should I load some firewood and have the wife drive the pickup out there? It would make the camping loadout a bit easier for me and I think I'm about as close as anyone else...
03-07-2009 02:25 PM
tiny terror Yup, and I'm sure I can speak for Unlimited and Cain on this point. We don't drink on the trail. It's a bad mix

I can only suggest one thing that others may or may not want to go along with but it's something I and most everyone I wheel with adheres to... no drinking on the trail, even beer. I like to save that for the campfire. Since this is a family-friendly trip, I hope that can work for us all. I'll be bringing a little single-malt scotch for that.
This will be mandatory Jerry.

I'm looking forward to this weekend.

Jeep's nothing fancy. 33's, 5+" of total lift. LSD in rear, open front, 3.73's, no armor (but I'm not afraid to scuff the little bitch up!)
I do have a winch, pullstrap, and front/rear tow points. As well as onboard air.
Let's see, what else.......a little guardian angel that hangs above my rearview. That's important.
Lookin forward to it Jordan.... Your Jeep will be fine for what we will be doing, as long as you have plenty of cold Pacifico on hand

Unlimited For dinner on Saturday, we are going to do a Spaghetti potluck for anyone interested in participating.

I'll bring: Spaghetti, marinara sauce, Italian sausage.

Other stuff we need: Appetizers, Salads / Dressing, Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms, Garlic bread (I have an oven we can use to heat it), Dessert, anything else?

I figure there will be about 10 - 15 people eating dinner with us.

Hey Pointy, will you do a chart in the first post to list sign-ups?
