BARKDOG67 I might be wrong but I don't think the durango box is any stronger than your stock unit they just have a tighter gear ratio from what I read.

redlined67 Ok. I did some searching on the internet tonight and I cant find anything for the Tommy Lee units. Can someone post a link or some contact info. Or does anyone know how much they cost.

The Darango box. What kind of unit is this. Why is it better than the stock unit? Is it a different ratio? Is it heavy duty? What year durango would I try to find a box from?

Absolutely if you are running bigger meats then a Lee or PSC box will be extremely beneficial for you.

BARKDOG67 you can purchase a rebuild kit from any auto parts store it comes with everything you need. Here is a link to one at autozone. | Vehicle Selection - Year

1BLKJP What year TJ do you have? If you have an 03 or newer it will have the Mercedes box and there isn't a whole lot that can be done. Previous years use a Saginaw box and you can swap that out with a Durango box which is a better box than what we have.

To stop it from leaking you can put a little brake fluid in the power steering resevoir and that will expand the seals a bit to keep it from leaking as fast.

Steering box. replace stock or upgrade.

My power steering box leaks oil faster than I can dump it in. Its leaking from the seal were the steering shaft comes in. Im thinking Im going to replace it. I was wondering if I should use the stock box or if there is something better to put in there. I see at Quadratec and 4WD has some available with like stronger gears and all fancy parts and stuff but the seem expensive. Is there a box from another vehicle I could use os is going stock fair option.

Thanks for the help.
