clarkkent I'd go 33s and then maybe plan a stage 2 build down the road for bigger tires with different axles.

callbob simple way to check is jack up rear of jeep, mark the tire and rotate driveshaft until line comes back to start, counting full revolutions of driveshaft. It will get you in the ball park.

Not to be rude, but what makes you think it has 4.11 gears? They weren't put there from the factory, and it would be rare for someone to spend the money on re-gearing a Jeep that was only running 31" tires... which is why I ask.

CarolinaBound Keep in mind your gonna need a lot more supporting mods if you want to run 35s on top of more lift to make them fit

doclouie To make that reliable on 35s you would need to upgrade to a Superior Super 35 setup and if you wheel it hard it would not be a bad idea also for 33s.

Jerry Bransford 33" tires are the largest I would install onto a stock Dana 35. And 33" is the largest I'd run with 4.10 gearing. 4.56 is optimal for that size tire but the 4.10 will work ok.

33s or 35s on a Dana 35?

I am new to Forum and new to Jeep. I recently purchased a 97 Wrangler Sport- 5 speed manual, 4.0, 3 inch block lift, Cold Air intake, 4:11 gears, flowmaster exhaust system, warn bumpers front and back, spare tire rack, 17" Rubicon alloy wheels and 31" tires. I will go four-wheeling a couple times a year but nothing crazy. Mainly use the Jeep as a daily driver around town. I would like to put bigger tires (33s or 35s) on it but am concerned about the Dana 35 handling larger tires. Do the 4:11 gears help? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
