I'm Glad you posted though because I wanted to know if everyone has this problem or not. So some are made right and some aren't it seems. At least it's not a design issue, just a fabrication issue.
3 of mine stay flush and one will swing out a little because the hanger is slightly angled. Here is how I handled it which serves dual purposes of them not swinging spontaneously and someone pulling them out or anything else haha.

Also a quick easy fix I found for some of the plastic inserts coming out is some super glue around the pieces and where the two meet when pushed in, no more problems and a quick and easy solution.

dalearyous your wall might not be plumb, straight, level, whatever. they sit flat against mine and i checked mine. i have seen some put the bracket on 3/4" or 1" plate of some sort.

Yea I figured I was going to end up shimming it out, but I wanted to know if everyone has this issue.....Seems like a poor design. The tubes should be angled slightly backwards then this wouldn't happen at all.

So I shimmed it out and now the doors are sitting nicely against the wall, but there really should be some directions saying which end up, maybe what drill bit size to use, and that shimming may be necessary because of the design...
But oh well.

I know everyone complains about the lack of communication and length of time from ordering to receiving. Then everyone praises the product.....
Well, I cant praise this product. I mean I'll use it, it keeps the doors off my garage floor, but it doesnt work as well as I thought it would. PLus the plastic inserts dont even fit in the tubes tight. 2 of them come out every time I lift the doors out of them....This is a real PITA.

If shipping times improve, the owner/company responds to inquiries, and the tubes are angled backwards it would be a great product and a good company. Until then I wont recommend these.

mikeyp03 SO I flipped it over and now the door is sitting on it better.

BUT the door is still swinging out away from the wall.....Is this normal?
My wall and the bracket are both vertically level...so is this a design issue?

What are you guys doing to keep the doors to the wall?

The one issue I see is that the doors dont sit flush on the bottom tubes.
I have the hanger mounted with the tubes that stick up higher than the others at the top(the way I thought I was supposed to) But the bottom pin(the door pin) doesnt slide down all the way to hit the clear plastic spacer and bottom tube.

Nothing is hitting when I move the doors from side to side so I think I have it the right way its just weird that they dont sit all the way flush on the bottom.

My other issue is that the doors dont stay against the wall. I figured they would hold themselves and not swing out into the middle of the garage.... So if this is also normal how is everyone dealing with it?
You have it mounted upside down. Flip it over and it should work a lot better for you.

mikeyp03 I ordered two sets of door hangers around Aug 15th....on thursday last week I got a shipping notification. I should receive them Sep 9th. SO a little less than a month for me. I will comment on them after I receive them as well!

4xplore I know this is an old thread, but I thought I would mention my experience with this company.

Unfortunately Skinny Pedal Products is a terrible company to try and order anything online. They have a well-stocked online store with great products but their lack of commitment to complete the sale and shipping is ridiculous. I had ordered an item on their site, which after 8 weeks, never arrived. I had attempted to call them several times, wrote multiple emails and only received a response after the first 4 weeks. I was asked if I wish to receive the product or a refund. I asked for the product but instead, after another 4 weeks, they just refunded my credit card and refused to send me the product. Not once during the time did they answer the phone or reply to my voicemails. When I did receive the one email response, they told me that they are too busy to answer phones and reply to email. It's an unusual and rude way of doing business; especially when you are offer an online store.

I would suggest anyone that is thinking of order from them to look elsewhere. Those door hangers can be made by anyone with welding skills. I made myself a set. I was trying to order the amp rack, but since they won't ship it I guess I'll be making one of my own.

Companies like this should be avoided and maybe they'll learn to respect the customers they need to survive. I'm all about supporting the local and small business guys, but not when they are rude and ignorant like this guy.

LVRaptor I havent heard that anything about the waiting process has gotten better lol and no clue what the "NEW" means but enjoy the hangers when you get them they do work great!!!! and like I had said in a previous post make sure you hang them with the correct side facing up. Side note I also cut 2 12" lengths of 2x6 and screwed them to the wall then screwed the hangers to the boards and it worked very very well.

mikeyp03 Hey guys I know this thread is old, but I figured I'd rather bump it than start a new one.

SO I just placed an order for 2 hangers on 6/15.....and in my account it says NEW.
Anyone know what this means?

Also, is there still a long wait with SPP?

A single piece of paper, typed up in microsoft word with a couple photocopied pictures would have gone a LONG way in the box SkinnyPedal.
yes you need 4 of the larger diameter bushings for each door (8 total)

They really are a great product though

Iven13Jeep I ordered 4/1 and knew it may be awhile to begin with. Shortly after I ordered I got an email saying it may be sometime before I get them, again that was fine with me. I ended up getting them 5/31 but during this time I received 2 more emails from skinnypedal telling me that they finished building them and then that they were done being painted a expected to be shipped within a week.

I was happy with the status updates they provided.

And the hangers are very nice quality (haven't mounted yet) but agree it appears to be the best hanger for doors out there in my opinion

Overall, the fit and finish of the hanger is pretty good, and I think it's one of the best products I've seen on the market for hanging the doors. I know the ones that hang on the window frame are bad about breaking welds on the older doors.
Of the narrower ones are for TJ/YJ etc... Them that means after a ridiculous 8-10 weeks of waiting I was only sent out enough bushings for one of the two hangers I got. Not real happy about that. Personally if if tool me more then two months to ship a product out I would quadruple check I didn't screw it up after all that. Guess ill hope there is some quicker or least any contact this time when I send an email.

Doctorsti I got mine too. Took over 2 months but they are here.

My only question is there are two sizes of plastic inserts.

Larger and smaller diameter, 4 each. Are the larger diameter for the fronts and narrower ones for rear doors?
