|BA93wrangler||hey thanx for the pics its nice to see what ill be looking forward too... I will also have to swap in the clutch and brake petals along with the heater but in your pictures it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would... seams manageable. everything takes time right. my biggest thing is figuring out where to start, I mean ive got to change axels engine tranny gas tank, lines, lights, dash , seats... everything but I think if I keep them close to each other and just swap one piece at a time ill be alright. I'm actually thinking about doing the dash first just so there is nothing in my way like fenders seats ect... just not sure where to start|

It's not as difficult as it looks. I swapped my '90 dash out for a '93 when I swapped in a '93 MPFI motor.

|BA93wrangler||thanks a lot dutch 95 that makes me feel better I was just afraid it would be a huge mess of wire like it was on my 77 gmc pickup. I just have a lot of work ahead of me and am kind of nervous. Ive changed engines trannys fenders ect but to disassemble a whole jeep then reassemble it without having any problems... its just a lot to remember especially over a couple of months being I only have weekends to work... thanks a bunch|

|Dutch 95||The wiring under the dash is in fact a harness, which makes relocating an "approximate" location of where everything is connected pretty easy. When I did mine, I took a million pictures (particularly of which of multiple wires ran to one component) and labeled which component it was actually connected to on the tape I labeled it with. This was helpful, because there MAY be extra unused wires that weren't connected to anything (options you Jeep may not have had from the factory). As a rule...manufactures don't generally use like connectors on unlike components. I'm pretty sure you can do this if you have mechanical inclination and a bit of willingness. Just take A LOT of pictures for your own piece of mind and ease of proper reconnection!!! That's my 2 cents.|

yj body swap
hi my name is cole I have a 93 wrangler. I recently broke my frame, so I bought a used frame but it came with a tub already on it.
the body on the new frame is rust free and my old one is rotted out so I want to use the new body as well. Here's the problem the new body is totally gutted out. putting the seats and steering column in is no problem, but I'm worried about changing the dash. If the wiring behind the dash is a harness like the engine wiring it shouldn't be a problem but if it is all loose I don't want to get the wires confused.
I guess my question is has anyone done this before and are there any major headaches I will run in to. (any one with a wiring diagram it would be appreciated)
