Plastic in oil pan

Need help I just got a 1990 wrangler yj 4.2 had low oil pressure. I changed the oil pump and found pieces of plastic that looked like it came from a gear in the pan. I don't have a clue of what it is. Jeep is running does any one know what this could be.
