Thanks, I bolted them up and they fit the bolt pattern. My concern is the backspace with 265/70r16 tires and rubbing on the inside sway bar if I hit a bump during a hard turn. I was trying to stay away from spacers but may get them jut to be safe.

|eagle223||The zj grand cherokee has the same 5x4.5 as the tj. 99 and up changed to the 5x5 bolt pattern so 93-98 grand Cherokee wheels will bolt up|

Grand Cherokee Wheels on a TJ Wrangler
I have 4 Grand Cherokee wheels 16 X 7 that have a 5 inch back space. I put a 265/70r16 tire on the rim and mounted it on the jeep. Everything clears but on a hard turn the inside clearance between the sway bar and the tire is about .5 inches. This is without any kind of lift. The back space on the stock 15X6 have a 6 inch back space. Everything I am finding on the forum suggests a max of 4.5 inches of backspace. Has anyone put the Grand Cherokee wheels on a TJ wrangler with 265/70r16 tires? The rims are the 16x7 alloy rims with the honeycomb like outer edge and I would really like to use them without spacers. I hear spacers are not the way to go. I appreciate your comments.
