Thanks guys - I don't exactly have a write-up but I do have lots of pictures -
3/4 plywood
flat black (a couple of cans)
bedliner (to waterproof
outdoor carpet glued.

Wanted it to be under the tub edges so as not to interfere with my tonneau cover and I like that way it looks like that!

Cut the plyboard in half fit it to the tub and made whatever cuts were needed, drilled out the center support holes and bolted up both halves using tower leg supports I had laying around (used to build towers) to support the middle but any steel strap / "L" bracket or really even wood will do the trick.

Then I cut the rear piece as a whole cut because the rounded corners allowed me to fit it under the tub. Bolted more steel connecting the d-rings to the steel underneath spanning both pieces.

cut 12Ga super-strut with L brackets bolted it to the seatbelt anchor (yup, took the seatbelts out - you don't have to but its a great anchor point!) and drilled through the tub midway towards front and bolted to the super-strut / L brackets for additional support.

Run a piece of strut across the front (nearest cabin) to dissect the area so even if the seat gets pulled forward you can't get back there - mounted a couple of lockable ammo cans for additional hidden storage.

You can dance on the deck if you wanted to, its very solid.

That's almost a write up!

Here's the pics - let me know if you have questions - I can't believe I didn't do this years ago!

eton Not a heck of alot going on - you know of any active Wilmington area offroaders / forums etc.... ? Its great hitting the beach but there has to be something else in the area? Just moved here from Raleigh - I still wheel with these guys -https://www.facebook.com/RaleighAreaWheelers but the 2 hour drive makes it tough!

eton So its looking like I may lose my 2 1/2 car garage as a result of moving to Wilmington which I use heavily for working on the jeep! Does anyone know of a place in the Wilmington area that rents work stalls / storage or something like that? I'll probably get a storage unit to get us there but those aren't really setup for vehicle maintenance. Thanks!
