chucky cheese Nice. But when I read your thread title I thought you were having trouble with your hair piece. I was going to suggest a hat or Gorilla glue.

Flapping carpet while doorless

Drove around doorless at highway speeds on a windy Houston day today and noticed something annoying. I haven't seen anything posted about this on here so I came up with a simple solution.
Attachment 223616

The wind blew the carpet around and behind the rear doors out of position and they continued to flap open. Every time I stopped I had to tuck the carpet back in. You can see it in the following pic at the door entry and along the side of the rear cargo area where the hardtop screws go.

So I stopped by the marine section of Acadamy and bought a package of snap buttons. I think they're stainless.

I drilled three 1/8" holes on each side (driver/passenger) in areas I thought were the most problematic and installed these snaps. I took it for a spin on the freeway and they work great. I may install more in the rear cargo area if needed but so far all the carpet stays in place.

As you can see in the pic below the exposed snaps were chrome. After the pic was taken I painted them black with a little touch up brush from the auto parts store. Now they're barely visable and I can easily unsnap them if I ever need to take my carpet out.
The snap kit cost $16 at Acadamy
