Jma20a to start pull up the defroster vent(it just pops off), next remove your ashtray, behind the ashtray is a single screw, unscrew it, now look at the area that was under the vent, there should be 2 screws that are the same as the one behind the ashtray. once those are all removed you can just pull off the bezel from around the stereo and heater controls.

once you have done that part take a few more pics so we can see what kind of damage was done, that way we can better advise you on what to do next.

05GT-O.C.D. Post a pic of what you're working with in the hole of your dash.

If you're near NE Ohio, don't worry about the pic, just send me a PM and we can get it done next weekend.

Sb5551 It all depends on what they took when they broke into your jeep. The new head unit will come with a wiring harness. You will then need a wiring harness meant for your jeep. You can get these at any parts store even wal-mart. After that its almost easy just connect the same colored wires together. I am not sure if I have ever seen a walkthrough though.

I am sorry to hear about your jeep.

Help a girl install a cd player!

So, I have had my 2000 Wrangler for 2 1/2 years and when I purchased it it had an after market cd player, amp and subs all wired in... of course about 4 months ago every damn thing was stolen. The head unit was ripped right from the dash and all. So here I am wanting to put a new one in but don't know what I'm doing. Can I get anyone out there to walk me thru what I need and how to install it myself?????
