Gymguyjeep The entire area of the Davis Mountains including the state park is mostly private land and therefore no public access. The state park does not have any back roads to explore. Although it is a pretty long drive from Davis Mts. State Park to Big Bend, it is going to be the closest place to explore backcountry roads without trespassing. The Big Bend State Ranch area has some pretty tough unmaintained backcountry roads that are legal to explore.

kennyf Big Bend National Park. You can spend days checking out the back roads.

Where to go in West Texas?

I am headed out to the Davis Mountain State Park this weekend. Does anyone have suggestions for off road or trails in the area?
