Goofyjumper If you can't find the factory service manuals then try Haynes or Chiltons. They both make a general CJ manual that is good enough to do most maintenance.

NHflannelman12JK76CJ5 my haynes covers most of the 70's through 86. it's okay. i could use more detail in it.

Tarby If you can get a factory service manual for it...that is the best route. I found one on Ebay for my 1972 CJ5. Even though I got rid of the CJ, I still have the manual...for when I get another of that year.

I have no Manual to research, for My 1980
CJ-5 . 4 sp W/six 258. Who makes the best
