No, I haven't used one and honestly I wouldn't.
If you can't use the head unit, I'd be more inclined to buy a cheap two channel amp, mount it inside the dashboard where no-one can see or remove it, then run a 3.5mm cable to RCA lead to allow you to connect the iPod directly. It will cost you much less than replacing the soundbar and be a much better system. The specs and reviews on that thing are terrible.

1) current head unit is poop.
2) don't really want to buy/install/care about a new one
3) I live "in the hood yo" and my cars get broken into all the time. I *know* a new deck will get taken (in fact, I expect this one to disappear any night now) but I doubt a soundbar will.
So... was that a "no, nobody has used one"?
