The lines steel, the bearing metal,plastic break away straps, my slave came as one piece
preassembled . All i did was slide it into place and tap a pin into the hole.After bleeding for 3 days i hooked up my vacuum pump and was good but since my stud mount broke, its the mounting thru bolt at the trany, ive had issues again...chk my clutch and mount post,...

|joshmart613||The orings go on the two lines that pipe into the slave..when u got ur new slave cylinder, it should of had a baggie that had 4 orings, 1 roll pin, 4 u clips and a little lock nut to hold the cylinder in place...you reuse the lines from the old cylinder and you put 2 orings on each end of the lines and put them in the slave and it is held in place with a clip...what kind of slave did you use, the plastic one or the aluminum one?|

|joshmart613||on the first slave cylinder i put in, i left the old master cylinder in...and it blew the oring...the second time i changed the master cylinder along with the slave cylinder, and it blew the o, bring again...at the same spot...so im just scratching my head....i gotta think it has more to do with the slave cylinder hole bore where the hard lines pipe into them..i still have the aluminum one i couldnt get primed...im gonna compare the openings for the lines and check the oring housing seats sizes...if i could get the aluminum one primed, id be in business...maybe the orings supplied are too small, and get pushed out under pressure?....i dont know anymore, bout ready to pull my hair out...thanks for the input...i appreciate all the help i can get...|

|rcac101||Hey me too the new master on my GFs 90 wrangler was pulling in air i got another one, put it in removed the res, got a 11/4braided hose bushed it down to 1/4 in put an a/c svc port attached my 6cfm vacpump and wallah had clutch for 2 weeks. now new issue with clutch ....chk my other post|

|bajajohn||your problem may be the clutch master cylinder. I had the same problem with the clutch on a Mazda I would bleed it and it would work good for a day or so then it would go to the floor I rebuilt the slave once and replaced it with a new one and it would bleed off.replaced the master and it's still working|

|joshmart613||Yea,its a one piece slave...and there arent any fittings to tighten the oringd in place...its just a u clip...one on the feed line and one for the bleeder line and its all held in place with a simple clip...i did submerge the aluminum slave in fluid and try to prime it by working it back and forth...but no such luck....couldnt get it to pump any fluid...submerged the plastic one and it pumped fluid over the edge of the bowl...so im just at a loss...dont want to pull the tranny for a third time but i guess i will have too...just need to know how to solve my problem....thanks for the input....|

If its a stock 87 then the slave cylinder and the throw out bearing are the all one piece style, and the only way I have got it to bleed properly is to reverse bleed the slave by pumping the slave back and forth to get the air out.
You might want to check and see if there is a burr on the end of the line that you are screwing into the fitting with the o-ring, maybe that is what is causing your mishap? Or it could be from over tightening the fitting itself, an o-ring fitting just has to be snugged down, not cranked down like a brake line fitting. The o-ring makes the seal, not the torque on the fitting.
I had the same problems with mine so often that i switched it all out for an AX15 with an external slave froma 97 TJ. Much better trans and much easier to work on as well.

slave cylinder help...
I have a 87 wrangler...stock straight six, stock tranny, stock everything....i had a slave cylinder leak, so i pulled the tranny and installed a new one, the plastic one to be exact...lasted about 2 weeks and it started leaking again (leak was on the oring on the feed side)...so i have pulled tranny and replaced, this time with the aluminum one...could not for the life of me get it to prime...the aluminum one didnt come with the straps...so, i ended up pulling the tranny AGAIN!!! and installed another plactic slave cylinder...was very careful to use clean hands, both orings, and made sure the orings set in the housing as to not damage them when i put the clips in....got it all back together, bled system, drove round block, bled system again, drove around block, bled for the 3rd time and drove round block, everything was good as before...went in too a shower, got in the jeep to run an errand and the pedal went from good to flat...looked underneath and yep, it was leaking...leaking at the oring on the feed side again....what am i missing or doing wrong...why am i blowing out the oring on that side everytime....any help is greatly appreciated...
