Michigan jeeper Yeah here they are the last one is the bars inside that disribute the rain so you don't get those annoying puddles in the middle

I love the bikini/safari tops too, and that's what keeps me from ordering a frameless top.

I'm afraid that I will spend $500 on the Rampage Frameless, take out all the windows and turn it into an $80 safari top

I had that issue the first time I installed it as well. Now its no longer an issue. To me the hardest(well most time consuming) part is getting the rear corners centered up when I tighten down the straps. If the header channel is your sole concern I wouldnt worry.

My window zippers are in pretty bad shape even after I lubed them up before winter got here. Now that the weather is getting warmer, they're getting more use. As soon as it decides to stay warm, the doors and back windows will be coming off. That's what I like about the Rampage top. That stuff can go with you without taking up any room.

sparkjockey I prefer safari style, so this top will be a nice addition. Now just have to figure what priority it is on my want list.

00TJSport Since I installed my new Rampage top, I got to thinking.... is it going to be a PITA to completely remove it and put it back on if the time comes? I love going totally topless, and after putting this on, I realize it might be easier with the old frame type!
05-07-2013 11:17 AM
00TJSport So I got my new top and the directions say I need to remove the existing header before I start. Is there a stock header?
05-06-2013 06:21 PM
Michigan jeeper Can you post some pictures like inside and how they go in?
05-06-2013 06:03 PM
stykthyn Rampage will supply their own door surrounds. Reuse the belt channels on the tub, windshield header, rearv window bar, and the uprights on the windshield. Literally the only things going are the top frame and the door surrounds.
05-06-2013 05:46 PM
Michigan jeeper How does that work around the door? Can you post pictures?
05-06-2013 03:18 PM
MellowYellow89YJ If you have all the factory style soft top hardware, no other items are needed for the Rampage top. None at all. You use everything except the bow/door surround from the factory harware.
05-06-2013 12:08 PM
Michigan jeeper Ok thank you!
05-05-2013 12:43 PM
stykthyn I used the header channel from my old smittybilt top and it worked perfectly. As long as is a channel and not snaps you will be fine.
05-05-2013 06:06 AM
00TJSport If your Bestop was bowless, I'm really not sure. All I know is when you go from having a frame top to a bowless you'll need a new header. I'd call and ask for sure.
05-04-2013 07:54 PM
Michigan jeeper So the header channel that was on my bestop won't work with the rampage?

It took about a week.... I think I got it thru a seller on Amazon, it's been a while so I am not sure.

MellowYellow89YJ Yeah, it takes a little patience... Do it on a warm day, and don't wrench on the straps until you get everything buttoned and zipped in place.

I can't wait to get it on hopefully it'll warm up soon so I can use it as a safari top did it take a lot of stretching to get it on? I know when I got my bestop it took some time and patience!
