Just decided to do my own set of these, and I was wondering if you remembered how much tubing you ended up using? I am just trying to make sure I can save up enough before summer.

hah, I dont see myself going into the door making business anytime soon. The amount of labor we have put into these, I would have to charge $600 dollars. They are not really hard to make, but all the welding, and grinding, and filing...My hat goes off to the companies that makes them.
The bender came with a dye to bend 3 inch pipe, havent tried it out yet though.
Originally I was going to use spray on bedliner, but I have a friend who may be able to hook me up with powder coating them, but either way, they will be black.

Those doors are BAD AZZ!
How big of pipe can that bender handle? Just curious. Heck with that, why don't you just make me a set of doors when your finished with yours. I'll need a set of 4. What color are you going to paint them? Are you going to match your body color or go with a flat black? Might look good plasti-dipped or bedlined too.
Good luck & Keep on Keepin on!

everything is now tac'd in place, well not everything, still need a plate for the mirrors.

Got the bender on sale for $77. I couldn't tell you where I found the pic..just did many google searches.
As far as the latches, I think I'm going to use a bestop latch, everything is just tac'd in place right now, we'll use a arc welder to finish it off.

|DIY07||That looks great I may have to invest in one of those benders.|

|WatchThis!||What are you going to do for a latch?|

Wanna make another set????

|MichaelEdwardsDO||Where did you find the drawings on-line. My buddy owns a muffle shop and has all the equipment but it never occurred to me to ask him to build me doors.|

|jkjeeper06||Very cool. How much does the tube bender go for? Also are you soldering the pipes or welding them? I couldn't really tell. What are you doing for a latch?|

started making tube doors
Bought a pipe bender from Harbor Freight and some 1 inch water pipe and started to make some tube doors for summer. Wish I could claim the design, but i found a drawing online and just tried to copy it.
