baytownbert Nope, but from day one it's sounded like an excessive amount of road noise in the front.

chuckr If the fronts are mounted correctly, not sure why they wore quickly while the rears that were installed wrong show normal wear....have you had any alignment issues?

baytownbert Yes indeed. The front tires are mounted correctly and the back tires are wrong. The end result is in a little over 2000 miles, half the tread is gone off the front tires. I called Discount Tire am am taking my Jeep in, in the morning. I'm going to get them to warranty the front two tires and remount the back two. The spare is mounted backwards also.

chuckr Yes, if you look at the sidewall it tells you which side is outboard...like Kramer said, they should be mounted with the tighter band close to the axle.

fade2black Yes, I believe the tires are even labeled as to which side is out.

kramer2k They're supposed to be mounted all the same and in the orientation as pictured in your post. I'm not sure how the guys missed that note while installing them.

I run the MTRwKs too. They're not a directional tire but they are asymmetrical. The tighter band should go closer to the axle of the Jeep.

Goodyear MT/R question

I just noticed the tread pattern on my MT/R's and the way they were mounted by Discount Tire. As you may be aware, the tread pattern is quite odd. See the photo:

The two front tire are mounted one way and the back are mounted the opposite. Is this right, wrong, or does it make a difference? Is there a tire guy on here?
