Abnormal-JK Like in Michigan... you can have all the lights you want... but you can only have 4 white lights turned on at the same time on the road...

jp2611 Rules vary State to State...and not to be an A$$$ but just because every one else has never had a problem doesn't mean you won't......it is kinda like speeding if it is a 35mph zone and everyone is doing 40 and you are doing 38 and they stop you who is getting the ticket? Not saying it is right or fair.

I myself have KC replacements for fogs and slimlight off road lights from KC..but none of them are wired into the factory switches....each has its own switch...so that I won't accidently have one set of them on when I shouldn't.....I do use them on road in times of extremely poor visibility with very little traffic...missed 2 deer Tue night thanks to them...dark cloudy foggy night..saw the deer from way back out on a country road less than a half mile from my sub division.

As has been said...."Don't be an idiot and you'll be fine"...I myself prefer not to have them wired into factory loom as it is weaker, and the known issues with the multi function switch.

baychar There are factory mounts on my front bumper. I mounted kc 55 replacements which have a rock guard on them. Have them on all the time with the headlights. Never had a problem

JDeBlois I have KC lights on my windshield, over size tires, and Hella 550FFs mounted on my fair lead roller for the winch. I live in NC Pa and go to college in SEPA near Philly. Never had an issue with any of my lights being uncovered at all times. I even have Truck Lite LED headlight upgrades.

Don't be an idiot and you'll be fine.

06SilverSport As long as the off road lights are covered they are legal. At least in Central PA they are.

Offroad light legal on bumper?

I'm getting conflicting reports on the legality of this. Can you put Hella 55s on a front bumper and tie them into your internal light controls and run on the road without covers?

Some say yes. Some say no offroad lights at all. Some say they have to be covered. Some say anything below the engine has to be uncovered. Ug
