Jts04sahara Ok I did some more research and it seems that the pan that ends in AC for an 07-11. Is this the updated model? From what I can find is that from 03-06 is showing the same. Can anyone clarify?

Jts04sahara Thanks. I looked online @ we r mopar to check pricing, it is showing the same part number for 2004 and 2006, 52852912AB, However I googled it and found an old post from 2010 saying the part number is 52852912AC. Can anyone clarify these numbers, thanks

toolmantim There are no real visual differences, the 2 pans look almost identical with the later version holding @1/2 quart more ATF+4.

I tried to find my receipt with the part numbers but no luck. Honestly all you have to say is you need a replacement trans pan and magnet for a 05-06 TJ. They are VERY 1/2 the cost of your trans filter.

When you remove the one on your jeep you will know if they are the same by looking at the magnet inside the pan.....with you having a 04 chances are it's the older style.

04 trans pan

Hey guys I was searching around the forum on upgrades to do to my tranny in my 04 with 6 cyl auto. I read on a couple of post where it stated jeep released an upgraded pan to help with cavitation at inclines. Does anyone know what build dates they started putting these pans on. I'm about to service my tranny and add a cooler and was going to upgrade the pan @ that time if I needed. Are there any visual differences I can notice without pulling the pan? Also if someone has the pan part number, magnet, and filter part numbers that would be awesome. Last time I went into my local jeep dealer looking for parts and told them what I needed they looked at me like I had to a shit in the floor, so I have to have numbers and correct numbers for any part I try to get.
