0III0forlife Prep is everything when doing a paint job, even if its monsta-liner VS. a $30,000 laquer job. Doesnt matter. It will only look as good as how much prep work you put into it.

In other words, YES, you have to prep the entire surface that you want the monsta-liner on, if you want it to look the same as the hood.

MoBass I would make sure you feather daown any chips and cracking. I used a self etching primer for my tube of my Jeep. I recomened you follow the direction to the T. Great product!

Painting Prep Question

Im going to monstaline the exterior of my jeep , right now im having the issue with the paint chipping/ cracking and fading on the hood so im going to need to sand it down and prep it i'm assuming, so the monstaliner sticks, my question is.. do you think i would need to prep the rest of the exterior to the same extent as the hood or can i just sand/scuff the paint. I just dont want the texture or anything to look different from the hood to the body
