rickybob i haven't been able to hook up with them yet so not sure about records. i was trying to figure out about how long they typically lasted. i know it depends on the driver, but if it's in good condition, how much longer should it last.

SeVeReDiStOrTiOn 126k miles seems pretty reliable to me...whether it's on it's last legs is anyones guess. For any automatic keeping the tranny's fluid cool and properly serviced is key to a long life. Does the owner have service records for the tranny?

i'm looking at a 2003 with about 126k miles (would be my 1st jeep), auto trans and have seen some things that the 42RLE is not very reliable. how long should it last and should i consider a manual if looking for reliability.
thanks
