IronBearTJ Yeah its a 4.0 i guess with the little bit of clunking it was doing putting it into gear, maybe the tranny was going bad

JP4VPI If you have a 4.0 then you have the nv3550 which is by nature very noisy. Mine makes a ton of noise but shifts decent. I hear its pretty normal. I don't know much about the 4 cylinder manny tranny

Tranny problem?

I have a 2000 TJ ive replaces clutch, machined flywheel, replaced all u joints front and back, throwout bearing, got rid of angry sparrows. My problem is clutch squeaks, and when sitting in nuetral it sounds like a slight transmission chatter. When clutch pushed in it lightins, when in gear it stops completly. The only thing i can think of that hasent been changed is synchros and master cylnder. Any help is much appreciated.
