bc3_Jeep You need to first figure out what kind of light and how many. Everything else will be a result of those choices.

AND..... never forget to put a totally unnecessary relay in the circuit so you can claim you have done it "the RIGHT way"...........

TJ Auxiliary Lighting

I've seen a whole bunch of posts in this forum with people asking for help on installing new auxiliary lights that have no background in electronics / wiring. I'm finding myself in the same boat. Having read through a lot of the more detailed posts, I think I can find what I need if I run into specific issues but I'm having trouble piecing everything together and determining what i need (wiring harness, relays, switches, etc) for my specific project. Does anyone have a link to some videos / posts / literature that can really help me understand the basics around these types of circuits? What is a wiring harness / relay? Why do i need / not need one? How do I determine what kind I might need? I'd really like to install my lights / switches myself (that's three quarters the fun of modding) but I don't want to screw up anything already in place and I don't want to waste money buying things i don't need or time buying / returning the wrong things.

Many Thanks
