argenwler Having problem too trying to know how many inches my Ruby is lifted, please help.
Tires, LT 305/70R 16, about 33 inches in diameter.
Front shocks about 22 inches measuring from bolt to bolt.
Rear shocks about 20 inches measuring same way.
Frame rails are about 20 inches from the ground at center of vehicle.
I also found a 1.5 inch spacer between tranfer case carrier and frame rail.

Yes thanks. Ill be getting a 1.25" BL, MML, install the tie rod/pitman arm and new zone shocks and figure out my bump stop/clearance situation.

In the front you add hockey pucks (or similar stuff) to the pad on the axle. In the rear you add it to the frame side. Make sense?

AdamLC I went ahead and ordered a stock pitman arm and have all the parts for a ZJ tie rod swap. Other thing I was wondering was about the bump stop extensions. Is it on the frame side or the puck on the axle?

TJDave With your floor jack, jack it up as high as you safely can. Use jack stands on the frame by the control arm mounts. Remove tires and wheels. Unbolt lower shock mounts and sway bar mounts. You can let one side of the axle droop to the floor while you lift up on the other side. That's how I remove my springs.
You can rent a spring compressor at a local auto parts store that makes it even easier.

PStov98TJ A real floor jack and jack stands for me. It only needs to be high enough to get the tires off when the suspension is at full droop.

no, you want a stock pitman arm.

AdamLC Thanks. Ill be looking for a DPA then, the track bar isn't hitting the diff, it's some blue paint marker or something. How are you all lifting your rigs up high enough to take springs out and check for binding or clearance issues. My floor jack probably won't touch it. On another note Ill be tackling a RMS tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that.

And this is the guy you need to listen too. Confirmed the DPA and my suspicion of the TB hitting the diff.

PStov98TJ Nope you're right on! Good job on the research. If it is a DPA (I'll let someone else chime in to confirm it), then you should definitely ditch it for a stock one regardless of the track bar being stock or not. It's all about the angles.

AdamLC If it is a DPA should i ditch it for a standard one. From what i understand and have read on here the drag link & track bar should be about the same angle. Or does that only apply to stock track bar?

PStov98TJ Looks like a DPA to me too. Not sure about the track bar brand. But to check the bumpstops you'll need to remove the springs and check everything at full bump, full flex on each side and full droop. That'll tell you if everything clears and if your bumpstops are properly adjusted.

It may just be the picture but I'd definitely check your clearances. Looks like there's a mark on the diff where something is hitting it.

New jeep, what lift do I have here?

I just purchased this 2003 TJ and I'm in need of a little help from the lift/suspension gurus. From the part number on the spring I found out it is a rubicon express 3.5" spring but the fixed length LCAs I'm not sure about, I didnt see the, on the RE kit. Is that a DPA, I've heard they ar no good for small lifts like this. Also looks like an aftermarket track bar but stock tie rod. Bump stops look correct? Would appreciate any help in identifying what I've got.
