faultymechanics I personally like the cj interior much more than the YJ. Especially since one isn't really safer than another. For the price though it sounds pretty good....is it all stock? New axles? Engine?

Need advice

I recently lost mt my '98 in an accident - not my fault - yet totaled. I'm looking hard to raplace it and the one that stands out is an '86. I'm going to check it out tomorrow but here's the ad - " 1986 Great frame new tranny painted last year. Has 1989 Sahara interior will need tires. Has 86,000 orig. miles. Recent work done - yes i know typical - radiator / rotors / calipers/ alternator / battery. Has not not been on the on the road in 3 years but has been started and run on a weekly basis." This is is actually my 3rd try to post this but the owner and i keep playing phone tag but finally touched base. He then told me he has extras for it ( hate to call a jeep an it) comes with soft top. BTW - $5,000 OBO. Should I pull the trigger if I find the jeep is acceptable and offer $4,000 cash. I would appreciate any and all input. Thank You.
