slf41002 A little more detail would help. What does the clutch pedal do when you push on it? It should be harder to push or have no resistance at all.Does the shifter just act as if you are not pushing in the clutch pedal at all and if so it is more than likely that the clutch has exploded or the pressure plate has crapped out,you also have the possibility that the shifter fork has slipped out of place due to a bad throw out bearing.

TJ clutch STUCK! HELP!

i have a 2000 tj sport manual. i was driving just on a street today and my clutch locked up and freaked me the hell out. I can no longer push the clutch in? i dont know what happened or what to even begin to look at? i am fairly new on engine/hood work. any suggestions would help because i really dont want to bring it into the shop and get charged up the ass. I also have a remote start on the jeep that bypasses the clutch but i really dont think that has anything to do with it. Anyone with some helpful suggestions that would be wonderful. or else just lemme know if im screwed and need to take it to a dealership
thanks
jesse
