SeVeReDiStOrTiOn How much did your brother get for it?
05-05-2013 01:46 PM
jaspiras Wow, just happened to be browsing through the forum and realized that this was my brother's old jeep. It was actually mine (I bought it in Chicago) and sold it to him when I no longer needed a car. No lie, I have the VIN. My brother lives in NYC and after he was told of the work needed to be done (aside from the clutch), he said enough is enough. It became too much of a burden keeping a car in NYC that he doesn't drive that much anymore.

LJDan You sure that thing wasn't under water in Sandy and totaled by insurance? Ridiculous deal!

I figured it was something like that or a women scorned. Nice..

It would definitely help with these two Jeep builds!

Thanks guy's...i know i can easily double my money by flipping it quick, but it's not going to happen. Looks like project "low budget crawler" to me I think this one's going to my brother so he can stop beating the sh*t out of my Jeep on the trails.
Wish me luck with the build, ill keep it updated as the Jeep slowly grows up

bostiguy Today is your lucky day. How would you like to double your money on that bad boy. I am talking cash money, $100 bills, crisp and new.
Deal???
Well, it's at least worth a shot, right?
Congrats on the score!

Jeffreybomb Holy crap! What's the name of the woman scorned, and does her soon-to-be ex-husband have a motor home she wouldn't mind seeing vanish for a three-digit check? Hell, I'll bump it up to the low four-digits!

That's exactly how i looked at it. I think i may order a rampage frameless top for my Jeep, and put the current soft top on the Sahara, and sell the hard top..either way the hard top will be sold.

New Jeep Project: It was a steal!

So I picked up another Jeep TJ the other day. And it was an absolute steal.
It's a 1997 Wrangler Sahara with a hard top, and a AX-15 transmission
The Jeep has 228K miles on it, but was garage kept in NYC...It has absolutely zero rust. Purchased from the original owner who kept records of every little thing done to the Jeep. Had a new transmission about 40K miles ago, water pump, fuel pump, radiator, hoses, spark plugs...etc. Basically the only thing that wasnt replaced recently was the motor its self which is a 4.0L

Only issue with the Jeep is that it needs a new clutch, which has already been ordered.
But get this....i only payed $800 for the Jeep, yes i said 8 HUNDRED.
What a steal..have so many plans for her!
