Beachcruiser When the sender is going out, it can cause a fast drop between full & 1/4 tank. Mine drops like a rock.

If you actually experience a drastic drop in MPG (but it still runs fine), my first guess would be O2 sensor.

Are you showing any error codes?

Gas milage v. Fuel gauge

I haven't done anything new to the jeep and my fuel gauge is dropping way faster compared to what it usually does... I'm resetting the trip meter at each fill up, but won't be certain that it is a gas milage issue or fuel gauge malfunction issue for a few days/weeks yet.

My question:
People have been commenting about incorrect yj fuel gauge; what are these typical problems with fuel gauge readings?

If not fuel gauge and realizing a drop in gas milage (16 mpg - 12 mpg), but jeep still runs great (4.0 Manual with fuel injection). What could be causing the drop?
