JeeperJake I've seen the simple 50 gallon garbage bag serve an astonishing variety of applications for rain gear. Poke head & arm holes and there's a cheap rain poncho. Pull over the seats, at least they stay dry.

My part of the country has a monsoon season where regardless of what you think may happen weather wise, you're wrong.

The advise I got coming to the PNW was, "If you can see the mountains-carry your rain gear; if you can't see the mountains--wear it".

Traveling too light in a Jeep will (probably) sooner or (for sure)later get you wet (and likely both) out this way.

thinkxingu In the time it takes to hook up a tarp, you could throw your tops on again.

A cheap car cover would be fine, or take a look at any of the Jeep accessory specialists (Quadratec, etc.) for the product designed specially for your application.

StarBrite When parked a blue tarp works great to keep water out. We took the whole top off for Father's Day weekend and it rained several times. We just covered the whole thing with the blue tarp and ran a bungee cord through the grommets and rock rails so it stayed taut and didn't blow away.

I'd be interested in options while driving though. Hope someone gives good ideas!

Jeeplover3 Hi! I just bought my first Jeep yesterday with a three piece hard top! I live in New England where the weather can change at any time. I am not ready to invest in a soft top, but would like some type of quick rain cover for the front seats. I figured that if I respond to your post maybe someone else will with a suggestion for us? Anyone?

Quick Cover for Driver & Passenger

Hiya!

With Spring here and Summer around the corner, I would like to take the Driver & Passenger roofs off my 3-piece modular hard top (and leave the back hard top portion on my 2013 2-Door JK). However, being in Colorado, it can rain at anytime. What do you recommend as a quick cover? Something retractable would be sweet.

Thanks,

Michael
