|jwilson2598||Make sure whatever you do, if you have an Unlimited you get the right brackets for your top. The 07-12 brackets are radically different that the 13 tops with spring assist. Either of them will bolt onto the rollbar (it's the same) but how the top attaches into the bracket is completely different. As long as you get brackets and screws for the year JK the top came off of, you will be fine.|

|spackler||I had to do the same thing, bought a soft top without the brackets. Ordered from one of the mopar parts dealers off the internet, they were around half the price the local dealership wanted. Part numbers for brackets, 55397228AB and 55397229AB, and M6x1.25" screws, 6503259. You need 4 of the screws. I paid $16.59 per bracket, $3.64 per screw, you should be able to find similar prices online if you can wait for shipping.|

|Lane24||Wish I had known that when I picked up my soft top . Called the dealer, and they are $38 a piece. Good thing I only paid $600 for the top.|

|carlalan||I've bought a 2013 soft top off craigslist but haven't picked it up yet. Does the brackets come mounted on the roll bar on a jeep with the dual top option or are they in a box? I want to make sure before I pick it up. Thanks for any help.|

Holes should be on the back side of the roll bar. Remove the padding and look at the underside of the bar itself.

Awesome. Thanks guys. I looked, and no holes, but i'll look again.
EDIT: Duh... holes on the bottom, I was looking on the top.

|Mike7599||I had to purchase these brackets from the dealer. They were like 12 bucks each. Only problem they didn't have them in stock. Took four days to come in. Have to pick them up today.|

I don't have a picture, but the brackets mount on the roll bar, about half way up. If you peel back the padding you'll see the holes. It was 2 or 3 bolts to attach each bracket.
I've heard the brackets are expensive, you might want to give the guy a call and see if he'll give them to you.

Purchased factory soft top, have a few questions..
I have a 2011 JKU, and purchased a never used, but installed soft top off of a 2012 owner that had the dual top option but didn't want the soft top. However, not knowing alot about soft tops when I purchased it, I did not get the bolt brackets that attach to the roll bar. Mine doesn't have them installed either.
I guess I'll have to run to the dealership to purchase these, but what else will I need? ie. bolts...I think the bolts that attach the actual soft top to the brackets are still in the soft top frame, but what do I need to attach the bracket, and where does it go. Can any one put up a pic of their set up for the bracket , or a measurement of where I need to install it. I have an opening in the cover, but I like to be exact.
Hopefully the bolts in the frame are the ones that attach to the bracket in the picture. Or can I install the soft top without the bolt brackets?
Any help or picture would be greatly appreciated.
