Just something to look into your local dealer has JK door locks 20-30 bucks each and most will key them for free as it only takes seconds I delta with this when I got new doors. This lock is very similar to most locks and you can then use your ignition key to lock/unlock the box.

I don’t know how Tuffy is in making locks but thinking like Better Built Tool Boxes for instance only use a few different lock combos so if you have one chances are someone in your neighborhood has a key for it. Back down south you can go to a Napa or Car Quest Auto and buy tool box keys off the shelf. So they are not that secure. I would hope Tuff is a little better but if you think about it as many boxes as they make not every single one will have a different lock.

But I would hope not many people have an ignition key to your JK if they do then the box is not gonna help ya.. *L*

I doubt it. They probably don't use the same style of locks.

BronxDiver I noticed that Tuffy has locks that I can order that would have the same keys but wasn't sure if it would fit the Bestop box!

Thanks!

derf It's easy. Not super cheap but easy. Tuffy sells replacement keys and locks that are very easy to swap out.

Doubtful, I think it would be expensive to get it re keyed. But maybe call a locksmith and see what they would charge.
