Surfinglbi23 Anyone have a clue on this? Not leaking terribly, just a few large drops after a drive. Maybe 1/4 ounce of fluid on the driveway this morning. I would swap in a new axle but just swapped this one in a couple months back and was hoping to avoid doing it again lol

Need help with pinion seal leak

95 2.5 stock Dana 35. I've been getting a leak out of the rear pinion seal.

So, first just did the seal. No better. So I thought maybe the yoke had a groove worn into it.

Did a new seal, yoke, crush sleeve, bearing. Felt a little loose on the pinion but much better. Still leaking.

Any ideas? New ring gear and pinion? Hoping to avoid if possible.

Suggestions/directions welcome ... Thanks folks
