yjJEEPyj I personally am not a fan of fiberglass.. but thats just me
11-17-2014 02:07 PM
aarontraceur What do you guys think of fiberglass over the steel tubs, windshields, and fenders? My yj is my daily right now. But once I decide to finish welding or replace the tub I'm going to use it for just off-road and fun.

4angels Well I just read the whole thread. Lots of work here but then isnt the work part half the fun!

Well done.
11-16-2014 11:51 AM
yjJEEPyj Haha thanks! The tj is going to be my daily, so it will stay pretty mild
11-16-2014 11:48 AM
simonclay I'll be following that thread too, your yj thread is pretty inspirational.

yjJEEPyj Hey guys check out my Tj im building! I still have my YJ tho and will continue to build it and update this thread as i Build. This winter im planning on pulling the engine new flywheel. maybe bore and stoke it, but not sure yet. But it for sure needs a flywheel and oilpump.

yjJEEPyj Basically.. after the inner ring is welded on, the inner tire bead will have to go over the face of the wheel. So you have to make sure your wheel design allows a tire to be mounted from the face. (Side away from vehicle)
10-22-2014 12:59 PM
yjJEEPyj I mean the wheel its self, make sure the tire can be mounted from the face of the wheel
10-22-2014 12:32 PM
daddyjeep Cool. TMI has a bunch of standard ring designs and are comparable in price to Ballistic.

Pardon my ignorance, but not sure shat you mean with "front drop center". Do you mean to make sure it is perfectly aligned with the wheel or am I missing something?
10-22-2014 12:21 AM
yjJEEPyj The beadlocks are from

Very inportant! Make sure you have a front drop center on your wheel, or it wont work with any weld on beadlock. I found this out after i had bought/welded/powdercoated my first set of wheels
10-21-2014 11:47 PM
yjJEEPyj Welded myself. I cant remember there name atm, ill look it up
10-21-2014 11:15 PM
daddyjeep That is bad ass. Who made the bead locks? I have been considering the Ballistic Fab ones. Did you weld yourself?
10-21-2014 10:32 AM
yjJEEPyj Ha yea, still haven't maxed it out, someday when i get to a rti ramp ill measure it
10-21-2014 10:28 AM

yjJEEPyj Got the new ram mount in the mail, got it all welded up and mounted. This axle is going to be heavy but it will be unkillable!

06-27-2014 01:09 AM
yjJEEPyj So i Couldnt figure out how to make my Tub roll into the rear flush. I ended up Doveing it, Cut a triangal section of the floor out all the way to the floor pan and Putting a sight bend into it. It now mounts straight into he roll bar. Will need soem body work to get it smooth b4 paint.

New agnle on front coils. Also extended front out about 5 inches for a 114" ws

Started on my Rear pannels

yjJEEPyj Few updates. The skeliton of a new skid/transmount/lower link mount.

Got some custom beadlocks designed. THis is a logo my brother made a long time ago, we kinda always use it on our motorcycle helms nd stuff like that.

New fuel cell

Got my new Tsl sx 42x15x15

The lugs look different to me. When did they start grooving out the center lugs and Sipping the ousters? I Like it a lot!
