5spdftw You can get 35s to work really well on the D30 with just some chromoly shafts and beefy u-joints. If you want to go the extra mile, it's up to you. Plenty of people thrash them with just the upgrades I mentioned and are fine. Myself included. Lots of rocks in JV and the occasional trip to some mud. Not a lot of high speed stuff though.

cbush1885 the idea was to keep the axle i got and not have to buy a new one...

but i am always open to ideas, where would i look to find a hp dana 30?

my rear axle is not hp so i figured the front didint need to be

UnlimitedLJ04 if you're going to do all that, why not use a HP D30?

how much is too much to put into a dana 30

so my plan is to run 35's, im building a 8.8 with an ox locker and artec truss system for the rear but would like to keep the dana 30 if possible... my plans are

artec truss system
artec inner c gussets
rcv axle (not sure of spline count yet)
Ox locker
synergy ball joints

is it worth putting all this into a tj to run 35's, i will be driving this often and hard i have another primary vehicle so this will basically be a trail rig

after all this what would my week point be, should i also look into new knuckles and hubs?
